Understanding publicly available learning objects

You can make learning objects available to users who do not have IDs and passwords for Learning Environment. This is beneficial if you want to open the learning object to metadata harvesting or if you want to share the learning object on a social network.

To let your users make their learning objects publicly available and shareable, the best practice is to allow them to view objects publicly in the repository at the org level.

Users can share the URL for publicly available learning objects on social networks. Users outside Learning Environment can see the URL for a publicly available learning object and access it. Social sharing buttons are only visible for learning objects published to an LOR with Public Availability enabled.
